An event integrated into the annual program of the Pau Motors Festival of the City of Pau
When a region's declared commitment to carbon neutrality leads to an innovative project. The Pau Automobile Grand Prix, a heritage event, has been thoroughly revamped to serve the energy transition and new forms of mobility.
The historic setting of the legendary race in downtown Pau will serve as the backdrop for a new festival, a European showcase for electric propulsion, hydrogen solutions and new fuels, as well as a celebration of the great hours of motoring and exceptional drivers.
This is the challenge taken up by the Pau Motors Festival, launched in 2022.
The new orientation of the Pau Grand Prix enabled the general public to discover and better understand the various technologies available to decarbonize the transport sector and institutional mobility. In 2022 and 2023, for the return of the event after a 2-year hiatus due to Covid-19, the new format attracted an average of 150,000 visitors over 2 weekends, and received extensive media coverage.
Before imposing its new calendar rhythm in 2025, the Pau Motors Festival is taking advantage of 2024 to undergo an organizational and functional overhaul, while offering a calendar of complementary events, foremost among which is the Pau 2024 European Forum on Low-Carbon Mobility, with a new ambition and a new approach to content.
