The program

Transport is a pillar of the economy and also accounts for a quarter of the EU’s greenhouse gas emissions. It is therefore essential to achieve transition to decarbonisation without jeopardising either the economy or our society based on freedom of movement.

Created by city of Pau Béarn Pyrénées, this original event allows private and public stakeholders each year to find information and solutions to meet the challenges of deploying low-carbon mobility:
The 4th edition of the PAU low-carbon mobility forum will be held on April 28 and 29, 2025, adopting a new format focusing on the dissemination of innovative and impactful contributions and reflections on these crucial issues.

  • Provide an exhaustive overview of the texts voted on by the EU and their implementation.

  • Support the transformation of sectors.

  • Promote all low-carbon mobility solutions.

  • Connecting public and private actors for the deployment of the necessary infrastructure.

This forum will alternate between political panels and more technical panels.
The technical session is organized based on a call for contributions and publication of articles.
This call is organized with a Scientific Committee chaired by IFPEN, which will bring together a jury of European personalities who are experts on these topics.

The 3 themes of the Call for contributions:

  • Availability of resources for sustainable mobility:
    Availability of resources for sustainable mobility: what is the reality? Issues related to electromobility and metals, biomass, H2, biogenic CO2, NGV, etc.

  • Comparative analysis in Life Cycle Analysis,
    where are we?

    Decarbonization projections from vehicle fleets estimated in 2050 Health impact of different technologies.

  • The economic model and competitiveness of Europe:
    Diagnosis of the industrial situation of all the players in the value chain, what are the issues, what are the impact factors?

What obstacles need to be removed for real competitiveness of European manufacturers and to accelerate investment decisions in low-carbon technological solutions (H2, advanced road and maritime biofuels, SAF-, e-fuels, etc.)?

Complementarity between the different sectors (air, maritime, road – including private vehicles).

The forum participants are in priority mobility stakeholders and French and European decision-makers (B to B).
