1st and2nd EUROPEAN FORUM FOR LOW CARBON MOBILITY – PAU (2022 & 2023)

In 2022 and 2023, the first two editions of the Rencontres européennes des Mobilités Bas Carbone took place alongside the GRAND PRIX DE PAU.

These high-level exchanges brought together a panel of leading European political representatives (including, in 2022, Thierry Breton, Commissioner for the Internal Market, Valérie Drezet-Humez, European Union Ambassador to France, and Henrik Hololei, Director General for Mobility), together with CEOs of leading energy companies and representatives of carmakers, as well as renowned researchers and sociologists(Dr Raphaël Boroumand, Doctor of Economics, expert in energy and climate policies).

Debates and round table discussions shed light, without bias, on the different technologies and scenarios for a successful and inclusive transition in mobility.

“My conviction is that there will be an energy mix where everyone can take steps towards the overall decarbonization of society, and more specifically transport. Biofuels and synthetic fuels are a way forward that we must develop.”

François BAYROU

Chairman of the Pau Béarn Pyrénées conurbation, High Commissioner for Planning

“Low-carbon liquid fuels are part of the solution to our problems for all forms of mobility.”

Pierre-Franck CHEVET

Chairman of IFPEN

“The energy transition must not be at the expense of the purchasing power of European households.”

Raphaël BOROUMAND

Doctorate in economics, expert in energy and climate policies
